Flüchtlingswohnheim Zeughofstr.
The Zeughofstraße residential home is centrally located in a quiet side street in the heart of Berlin-Kreuzberg. Up to 150 women, men and children from war and crisis zones around the world who are unable or unwilling to return home for various reasons live here.
We offer our residents social counseling, care and support in dealing with the authorities. We arrange additional care and further education opportunities such as free German, integration, literacy and vocational preparation courses. We also provide support in finding legal and asylum advice and appropriate medical care. Close cooperation with other refugee projects and good integration in the neighborhood are essential for us. As one of the oldest and comparatively small refugee shelters in Berlin, our house is also well connected in the district.
The EJF (Evangelisches Jugend- und Fürsorgewerk) is a nationwide, Christian-based social enterprise. It provides help for people of all ages and faiths who need special personal and social care.
