About the volunteering opportunity
The corridors on several levels of the refugee accommodation need new paint. That's why we want to paint the walls together as part of this Volunteering Day.
Your Tasks
First, we start with the preparations, mask off the skirting boards, and cover the floors or furniture if necessary. We can then continue painting the walls to give the hallway a new color.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
You should only have the desire to provide active support - otherwise no special knowledge is required.
What to bring
Please wear work clothes that can withstand a few paint stains.
The paint and other required materials will be provided by the organization.
A break room will be provided in the shared accommodation where you can leave your things and take a lunch break together. Drinks and food will be provided by the organization.

It is important that you are generally open to the topic of helping refugees. Like all children, the children living there are very curious and may want to help out.

The LfG-B (Landesbetrieb für Gebäudebewirtschaftung - Betriebsteil B) is a state-owned institution and is in charge of several accommodations for refugees in Berlin, one of them is the shared accommodation in Rudolf-Leonhard-Straße 13 in Marzahn.
The MUF (modular accommodation for refugees) is home to about 350 people from different countries. About 100 of them are children.
