About the volunteering opportunity
Do you love pottery and want to share your skills while working on your own creations? Join Wellbeing for Everyone, a Berlin-based non-profit promoting inclusion, mental health, and community through creativity.
We’re looking for volunteers to join a team of four leading and supporting our pottery sessions. You’ll collaborate with others to inspire participants, help them explore pottery, and create a safe, creative space for expression.
We’re also seeking volunteers interested in leading some sessions in a three-month pottery course. This is a great opportunity to teach, learn, and grow while making a lasting impact.
Workshops take place on Mondays (17:00–21:30) and Wednesday mornings, with each session lasting no more than two hours. Support us for at least 3 months, 2–4 hours per week, and enjoy the unique benefit of working on your own pottery projects during your time with us.
Your Tasks
As a pottery workshop leader or supporter, you will:
- Work as a Team: Collaborate with three other volunteers to plan and run sessions.
- Lead or Support Sessions: Teach pottery techniques or assist participants as they create.
- Encourage Creativity: Help participants explore their artistic side and experiment with clay.
- Use the Kiln: Learn to use and oversee the firing process as part of your involvement.
- Take Over Sessions: Lead some workshops in a three-month pottery course, if interested.
- Foster Connection: Create an inclusive environment where participants feel welcome and inspired.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
For this role, we’re looking for someone with:
- Pottery Skills: Basic knowledge of hand-building or wheel-throwing techniques (advanced skills are a bonus).
- Passion for Sharing: A love for pottery and a desire to help others create.
- Empathy and Patience: Comfort working with diverse participants, including beginners.
- Team Spirit: Willingness to collaborate with a team and share responsibilities.
- Reliability: Ability to commit to Monday evenings or Wednesday mornings for at least three months.
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 4 hours per month.
- Regular Commitment: Approx. 2–4 hours per week. (Not every week needed as we are 4 people)
- Workshop Schedule: Mondays between 17:00–21:30 and Wednesday mornings. Sessions last no longer than two hours.
- Minimum Duration: At least 3 months, with opportunities to lead or support sessions in a three-month course.
Important notice
Here are the benefits of volunteering with us:
- Work on Your Own Pieces: Use the studio to work on your own pottery projects during your time with us.
- Access to a Kiln: Fire your creations in our kiln and gain experience with the firing process.
- Be Part of a Team: Collaborate with three other passionate volunteers, learning and sharing ideas.
- Your Impact: Help participants gain confidence, learn pottery skills, and connect with others in a safe, creative space.
- Flexible Involvement: Choose to lead full sessions, support workshops, or take on sessions in a three-month course.
- Volunteer Certificate: Receive a certificate for your contribution, useful for visa applications or professional references.
- Exciting Opportunities: After one year, EU citizens can take part in a funded learning trip or exchange program.
- More Benefits: After 6 months, you may qualify for a Berlin Volunteer Card offering discounts at cultural and entertainment venues.
This is your chance to share your love of pottery, build connections, and create something beautiful—both for yourself and the community. Let’s shape a brighter future together!

Welcome to For Everyone
For Everyone is a Berlin-based non-profit that creates safe, creative, and welcoming spaces where people from all walks of life — especially internationals and newcomers — can connect and feel at home.
For Everyone is a Berlin-based non-profit that creates safe, creative, and welcoming spaces where people from all walks of life — especially internationals and newcomers — can connect and feel at home.
Through art, music, and movement, we foster real human connection, belonging, and emotional wellbeing. Our community café, No. 52 at Boxhagener Platz, hosts weekly workshops and small events for adults (mostly 18–40+). Each session blends creativity with care: it’s not about performance, but about what happens between people while they’re creating together.
Our wider vision is a diverse and resilient Berlin — a city where everyone feels at home and can take part in community life. To make that possible, we’re building the social infrastructure for belonging: connecting spaces, people, and volunteers across the city.
We believe in joy, inclusion, and authenticity — and thanks to our solidarity-based ticketing system, everyone can join, no matter their financial background.
If you care about making others feel welcome, believe in the power of creativity, and want to help people feel a little more at home in Berlin — you’re in the right place. 💛
